Camel Tabs is an extension for Chrome or Firefox browsers that help you surf traffic exchanges more efficiently. It’s easy to get set up and start surfing faster than ever. No need to use keyboard shortcuts or the mouse to switch between tabs anymore as Camel Tabs does the tedious work for you. Now you can just focus on viewing ads and clicking the correct icons.
Once you install the extension to your browser it is ready to work for you. The next step is to open your favorite exchanges and start surfing. Camel Tabs currently supports 402 traffic exchanges so you are probably going to find all of your favorites on here.
When the extension detects an active surfbar it adds that site to the Active Surfer Tabs menu.
There is a free version that tracks up to 7 active exchanges or a paid version that removes that limit for $3 per month. There is no affiliate program associated with this software and I don’t get paid anything if you upgrade. 7 is a good amount, but if you are surfing for rewards from games you may desire to have many more tabs being tracked.
When Rotation is enabled, the extension moves to the next tab when you click the icon. You have the option to set the rotation to balanced, timer based, quick balanced, quick timer based, or tab order based. With balanced and timer based, it does not switch if all of the other tabs’ counters are still counting down. The timer based option always switches to the tab with the shortest counter. Tab order does not look at the timers and simply moves to the next tab in the browser, which is the traditional way of surfing exchanges.
Limit – You can enter a number of clicks you desire to surf for each site separately or all to the same limit. When it reaches that number of clicks it either pauses or stops that tab based on the setting you choose. Pause works by skipping that site in the rotation until you change it. Stop performs a stop button action which has multiple settings options. The stop action choices are to close the tab or load the home, websites, banners, texts, or rewards page for that site. The load can either happen in the background or it can switch to that tab after it has loaded.
Mute – You have an option to mute any of the sites individually or disable all of them. I find this handy to have as there are quite a few ads that have sound.
Notifications – You can enable or disable notifications that the extension has, such as error messages for a tab.
Auto Click Games – Camel Tabs can automatically click on 4 game icons if you are playing them. This includes The Food Game, Viral Traffic Games, Crowns Game, and Traffic Trophy Games. If a game icon shows up, Camel Tabs automatically clicks the game piece and opens the window. You never have to worry about missing a game piece again…as long as you get to the tab before the prize link expire.
You can see that this is a simple piece of software with some powerful settings that can make your life so much easier as you surf for credits.
For the free version, you can have up to 7 active tabs. For fast surfing, you should have 2 or 3 sites that have a 6 second or less timer. Set the rotation to timer based so that it always chooses those when they are ready.
You can also effectively use 8 or 9 tabs with the free version, but you are going to have to actively choose the extra tabs. This is actually quite useful for games such as a la minute in The Food Game or the maze of rewards in Viral Traffic Games. The extra tab is going to serve as your focus tab, meaning you are going to switch to that tab as its timer is ready. A good rule of thumb is it takes about 2 seconds to click on the other tabs.
Tip: you shouldn’t try to surf too fast because random prize pages show up consistently throughout the rotation that you should make an effort to collect. Some of the prizes can be quite large, including 100 credit views.
For a la minute, set the limit to 24 for the site you plan on going for the prize. You have 20 minutes to collect 3 Food Game prizes, so you should start with the first click winning a prize instead of starting from scratch. Once it gets to 24, you can close the tab so it’s ready to go when the contest starts.
Daily surfer rewards are usually a great value when they give you 100 credits for 125 or 150 page views across multiple sites. Open each of the sites and set the limit to 1 above the target number and have fun surfing. You can set the action to load the rewards page when it reaches the number so you never forget to collect your winnings.
Most importantly, make sure your surfing strategy is aligned with your business strategy. Games and rewards can be fun, but make sure they do not distract you from your main purpose: to build a list and create a successful online business.
Easy to use
Simple, but great at what it does
Fully functional free software
Saves your hand from a lot of shortcut button presses
Saves time and earns you more credits
Not as effective with sites with 12 second or longer timers
It doesn’t work with every exchange
You need to be more disciplined to watch for prize pages
I find 10 or 11 tabs to be the sweet spot for how I surf
7 tabs may not be enough
I give it 9.5 stars. It’s simple and it works. My hand is less cramped and that’s a great benefit in itself. The free version is definitely worth it, and the $3/month upgrade is worth it if you require surfing more than 7 pages at a time.
If you are surfing traffic exchanges to get credits to show your own landing pages, then I highly recommend trying out this extension to see if it helps you get more credits for your sites. You can download it at cameltabs.com.
Cheers to your success!
