Traffic AdBar is a traffic exchange that offers you views to your websites in exchange for viewing other advertisers’ sites. Like almost all traffic exchanges, Traffic AdBar has a click for credits engine. What sets it apart is the traffic you are able to get from the coop. At the time of writing this, I have received 7,016 views in 20 days to my page…and this is with a free account!

Traffic AdBar was founded in 2009 by Darren Merrett. It promises free traffic to advertisers and my experience has been exactly that.

The traffic is not for every business, however, as all traffic exchanges have the same audience: people looking for traffic and leads for opportunities they are looking to share online. For this reason, you should only promote things that help the audience get traffic and leads. Any other type of business is a waste of credits.

Traffic AdBar is free to join and you can stay a free member for as long as you wish. There are three upgraded plans that offer more traffic and points. The signup process is simple. Once you confirm your email you are able to set up the websites you desire to promote. As a free member you can list up to 5 websites.

You do earn credits for viewing pages as well as points that places your websites on the ladder system. The higher on the ladder, the more views your page is going to get. You do get 100,000 points to start, so you start to see hits on your page right away.

The ladder recalculates the placements every three days and it is based on the points accumulated over the last 3 months. You earn points by viewing other sites, having the browser extension installed, and by installing the Traffic AdBar widget on you website. You also get points if you are an upgraded member.

You can compare the plans in the graphic below:

In addition to the additional traffic, websites you can list, support, and banners you see above, the paid plans also increase your commissions when your referrals upgrade. The commissions start at 4% for free members and go up to 35% for Platinum members.

Unlike most of the other traffic exchanges, where you surf for credits, Traffic AdBar also has a points system that determines where your sites are on the ladder. The higher on the ladder, the more views your sites are going to get. You get a lot more views from your ladder placement than you do for credits, so I have chosen to prioritize collecting points to get higher up on the ladder.

First, download the Chrome or Firefox extension. This gives you an extra 500 points each day you login and another 100 points for every 25 ads you surf. You can also accumulate points when you refer new members to Traffic AdBar, upgrade your membership, or place the AdBar on your own website’s pages.

I didn’t have any insight when I joined so I muddled around for a while before I got a feel for how the exchange works. My focus is on building my own list to help people get traffic, leads, and conversions for their own list and programs, so the only sites I share are landing pages to capture email addresses.

In the past 3 weeks, Traffic AdBar has delivered 7,255 views to my landing page (I’m only testing one right now) with 19 people signing up to my list. This site is currently on level 10 of the Traffic AdBar ladder out of 17.

This is outperforming every other free traffic source I’m using by more than double. This data is enough to show me that it delivers quality traffic of people in this niche and is worth upgrading. This is my second upgrade recommendation, behing LeadsLeap because it offers the best landing page, email autoresponder, and other tools for building your online business.

I would not recommend this as a way to get leads, signups, or quality traffic for any niche outside of those looking for traffic and leads. I would still recommend to use this service even if your chosen niche is something else because everyone needs traffic and leads. This is an opportunity to build a solid, foundational income while building your own list. You can market your other services to your niche through email or use the income from this to pay for ads in your main niche. Advantages
  • Delivers a ton of traffic to your site when your site is ranked high enough on the traffic ladder

  • Simple to use (but little documentation makes it take a while to comprehend how it works)

  • Unique points and ladder system

  • Starts you with a generous 100,000 points when you sign up

Disadvantages
  • Lack of training and support for free members

  • You see a lot of the same ads while surfing

  • Haven’t been able to get the code to work to show the AdBar on my website

  • Minimal social features

It is a great traffic source with minimal features. I rate it 8 stars out of ten because it still has so much potential to be even better. If you desire to build an online business and help other entrepreneurs craft an effective lead generation system, then I recommend using Traffic AdBar.

Also, for those that sign up under me, I offer free strategy calls to help you build out your lead generation system and get the most out of Traffic AdBar and the other tools I recommend.

Cheers to your success!
